FAQ

  • Capacity & Options

Note that all bookings include wine tastings

We have 4 buses: the Skoolie (20 recommended max), and Semi Toasted (40 guest max, 35 preferred), Pink Drink (13 max) and Diamonds and Denim (12 max). Note that open dates for Pink Drink start 4-1-25 and Diamonds and Denim is currently under retrofit for compliance purposes.

Semi Toasted is a shared tour (and we think it’s more fun that way!) It is open seating. The Semi and Skoolie can be booked privately on weekdays if there are no existing reservations but there will be a minimum of 10 needed. Please text us at 657-615-9176 to book a weekday tour. The Skoolie can accommodate fully private groups (minimum group size is 10 but groups can pay to meet the minimum if they wish).

  • Wineries

We have agreements for custom accommodations at 8 handpicked wineries: Peltzer Winery, Doffo, Callaway, Lorenzi Estates, Vitagliano, Masia De La Vinya, Danza Del Sol, Monte De Oro, and Somerset. The Semi itinerary will always be set but there is some (limited) flexibility for customer itineraries on private tours. We do our best to accommodate requests but ultimately must select the route based on a variety of factors such as winery availability, geography, date, and several other logistics factors. Over time we rotate between wineries.

  • Pricing

The tour rate is per seat (per person). There are no taxes or fees on the Semi. An 8% tax may be applied for the Skoolie only in some cases (for sales tax and transportation taxes/fees specific to CA) . Each tour is scheduled for approximately 4.5 hours from pickup to drop off, but note this can extend up to 5 hours and often does. Each ticket includes 3 wine tasting cards, optional charcuterie or sandwiches may be added.

Non-drinkers: We do offer a discount for non-drinkers in your group. One guest per ten people (up to 10% of your party) is eligible for this discount.

  • Reservations & Payments

We collect a small reservation deposit for each ticket on Semi Toasted, with the balance charged or due 72 hours before tour. For groups of 5 or more we will automatically send an invoice. For groups less than 5 we will charge the card on file for the balance the week of the tour. If you would like this option, please inquire through text or email.

For the Skoolie and Twins (Pink Drink & Diamonds and Denim), we collect a $179 security deposit that will be returned after the tour, provided there are no incidentals or damages.

A $199 reservation deposit is required for the Skoolie, to be returned after the tour.

  • Pickup and Dropoff

By default (For Semi Toasted and the Skoolie) pickup is at Vail Headquarters behind Bare Knuckle Brewing. Custom pickup may be available for smaller trucks. On busy days, we may pickup 10-20 meters east of Bareknuckle Brewing in the adjacent parking lot. We will still be visible from Bareknuckle Brewing.

Please meet us at Vail Headquarters (32115 Temecula Pkwy, Temecula, CA 92592), in the rear of the property by Bare Knuckle Brewing. You can copy the following GPS coordinates into your map for an ultra precise location (33.47873347640359, -117.09674639449082). At the end of the tour, we will drop you off in the same area. There is plenty of parking behind Foot Locker.

  • Cancellations and No Shows

Voluntary cancellations will result in a 3% fee. Customers can cancel for any reason for a full refund (minus the fee) up until 1 week prior to service. Any cancellation after this point is considered a no-show and the customer may receive a credit (no expiration) redeemable at any time but will not be eligible for a refund.

  • Weather

We will cancel a tour for excessive rain. We will not cancel a tour for cold weather.

We recommend bringing a sweatshirt & a jacket BOTH on cold days. Layering heavily is more than enough to deal with “California cold”. Full refunds will be issued if we cancel due to weather.

  • Gratuity

We automatically pay gratuity at most wineries on our groups behalf . However, for bar tastings we may not cover gratuity since we do not know who will serve you at the counter and we ask you tip at your discretion. Usually your servers receive a bonus for bottle sales, so buying a bottle is another way to compensate your server.

If you have a private tour and an employee is driving/hosting we do guarantee gratuity in the amount of the reservation deposit. Please take care of them. For private groups we may apply the deposit towards the drivers gratuity if they receive none.

We did our best to make this policy agreeable and fair and hope you feel the same!

  • Other

    The stuff that isn’t fun.

We are strict about a couple of items. Wine/seltzers/beer in small coolers is acceptable (backpack size). No hard alcohol onboard. Full stop. This is an important safety measure. If the host feels they are unable to keep a guest safe we have to stop the tour to manage the issue. This ruins all the fun and we never want to do this. Please don’t make us.

    No flashing. Ha!

We have a minimum of 10 guests to do a tour on the Semi. If you book during a weekday and we think we will not hit that minimum we will reach out to you a week in advance to advise.

We insist on safe behavior. No amount of fun is worth someone getting hurt. We have never had an issue and don’t intend to ever have an incident.
